Inspect an IMD seat before you bid.
OpenSea listings near 1.45 ETH show the SVG art, not whether the seat’s daemon is online, whether it sits one bad contract result away from 24h probation, or that all past token rewards stay locked to the seller’s wallet.

03 // Empirical Token Launch Study (338 Mainnet Launches)
Most launches never trade.
Sniping early candles loses on median.
The 1-hour unlock is not a predictable dump.
04 // Seat Economics & What Transfers on Sale
The 8% Share
Every token launch allocates 8% of supply equally across seats whose daemon is online when the launch is admitted (~1,020 seats → ~0.0078% per seat). Offline seats get zero.
The 2% Builder Share
Another 2% goes strictly to the 5–8 wallets whose implementation or review steps were accepted on that launch (~0.25%–0.40% per seat — 35× larger than the passive share).
Rewards Follow the Wallet
Each launch freezes a Merkle tree of wallet addresses, not NFT token IDs. Buying a seat on OpenSea never transfers past rewards earned by the seller.
Probation Moves With the Seat
Two bad contract results out of the last three put the seat at the back of the dispatch queue for 24h (doubling up to 7d). Unlike rewards, standing & probation stay attached to the seat.
